On 21 March 2026, we invite you to the opening event of the hiking series “Latvia Challange” route “Amatas sarkano klinšu valstība”.
The route will take you through one of the most beautiful regions of our homeland. You will not only spend the day in the fresh air, but also experience the diversity of Latvia’s nature. Along the way, you will see impressive sandstone outcrops and the powerful, adrenaline-filled flow of the river, which is especially spectacular in spring. If spring arrives on time, you will also encounter its first messengers — snowdrops that will make your heart rejoice.
Purchase the hike in the ROVER+ app, after downloading it from the App Store or Google Play.
This will be an adventure for everyone, as four distances of varying lengths will allow you to choose the one that suits you best, spending the day at your preferred pace and intensity. Each distance includes its own challenge, offering a new hiking experience for both shorter-distance walkers and those ready for longer routes, where true harmony can be found between the magic of nature, scenic surroundings, and the silence of dense forests. Our team members will be present along the routes, providing engaging and experience-enriching tasks.
Snack points will be available along the trail where you can recharge before continuing your hike, and at the finish you will be welcomed with delicious soup cooked over an open fire.

The hike will start near: Zvārtes Rock.
Route distances:
- Walking Loop – easy difficulty walk, 10 km
- Small Loop – moderate difficulty hike, 15 km
- Medium Loop – moderate difficulty hike, 23 km
- Large Loop – a hike for challenge seekers, 34 km

08:00–09:00 Large Loop start
09:00–10:00 Medium Loop start
10:00–11:00 Small Loop start
11:00–12:00 Walking Loop start
08:00–15:30 Snack points and engaging task stations will operate on all routes
14:00–17:00 Hike finish with soup cooked over an open fire for all participants
17:00 Event closing and prize draw from cooperation partners among participants present
