Quiet and white, Ķemeri welcomed the participants who arrived at daylight to take on the most suitable of the three routes – 18, 27, or 33 kilometers. For some, the snowy trails became a true personal challenge.
The routes were full of life, as participants not only walked but also took part in activities and task stations where they could challenge themselves and win small motivational prizes. Step by step, the day passed in movement, conversations, and enjoying the winter nature. The weather and the routes were so favorable that many admitted they should have signed up for a longer distance. It was that good!
At the finish line, participants were greeted with a warm and much-anticipated moment – a shared bowl of soup, which has already become a LATVIA CHALLENGE tradition. To close the day, everyone joined a group lottery where they had the chance to win prizes provided by the event supporters.
LATVIA CHALLENGE events are days where people, nature, and movement come together. So we will definitely meet again in Vecumnieki at the second LATVIA CHALLENGE event “Vecumnieki Pine Forests”, on February 7.
